World-Class Integrated Curriculum
Our curriculum is play-based for primary school students and project-based for secondary school students — designed to make language learning natural, engaging, and age-appropriate. Every lesson is mapped to internationally recognised frameworks: the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) for German from A1 through B2, and the Youth Chinese Test (YCT) and Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi (HSK) frameworks for Mandarin Chinese — YCT 1–3 for primary and HSK 1–3 for secondary.

The Global Citizen Programme goes beyond the classroom. We give partner schools access to two signature experiences that create culture, community, and competitive energy around language learning.
The Language & Culture Bowl
An annual inter-school competition where students from all Orbis Lingua partner schools compete in language challenges, cultural presentations, and immersive activities. The Language and Culture Bowl gives schools bragging rights, creates genuine excitement among students, and positions partner schools as institutions at the forefront of language education in Lagos.
In-School Cultural Festivals
Immersive cultural celebrations held within partner schools throughout the year — including Chinese New Year, German cultural days, and other celebrations tied to the languages and their cultures. These festivals bring the language to life beyond the textbook and create memorable shared experiences for students, teachers, and parents.
The Two Language Tracks
German — CEFR Pathway
Student Progress
Students can introduce themselves, greet, and use basic classroom phrases in German.
Students can hold simple conversations, ask and answer personal questions, and read short texts.
Students achieve CEFR A1–A2 level — understanding and communicating in everyday situations with confidence.
Students achieve CEFR B1–B2 level — discussing complex topics, writing structured essays, and prepared to sit the official Goethe Zertifikat examination.
Mandarin Chinese — HSK Pathway
Student Progress
Students can recognise basic characters, count, and use greetings and classroom instructions.
Students can form simple sentences, recognise 150+ characters, and hold basic conversations.
Students achieve YCT 1–3 level — understanding everyday phrases and basic written Mandarin.
Students achieve HSK 1–3 level — capable of professional and academic communication, prepared to sit the official HSK examination.
